The Story of
Dilly Dahlia
“You’re always dilly-dallying.”
Growing up, I was late for school most mornings. And nearly every one of those mornings, I’d hear my Mom’s voice from the kitchen: “You’re always dilly-dallying!”
In the summer of 2025, I planted a garden to remember my Mom, who passed in 2024. I never had a green thumb. She, on the other hand, could grow just about anything. Somewhere along the way, it felt like my Mom sent me her green thumb.
Whenever I’m in the dahlia garden, it feels like time spent with her. I hope these flowers bring you as much joy as they’ve given me.
